How long have you been a part of the LiveFit team? I joined LiveFIT as a bootcamper in 2011. Started teaching classes in 2012.
What classes do you teach? HIIT, BossFIT and wherever else I can sub in!

{Your Story}

What inspired you to start a career in fitness? I had a negative self image my entire adolescence, and have struggled with self confidence my whole life. I struggled with my weight throughout childhood and adolescence, and never actually never stepped foot in a fitness facility until I was 20 years old. After having children, again I struggled to lose the weight and keep it off, so I started the nasty self-hate cycle all over again. When I found LiveFIT, I fell in love with fitness not just as a means of weight loss, but for my physical and mental health’s sake. It became my new home. I loved LiveFIT as a community!
I’ve always loved teaching. (I was a 2nd grade teacher back in the day.) I love helping and encouraging women, and I love being in community with women who are on a similar path as me. (Aren’t we really all more the same than different??) After I had been at LF for a while, I developed the desire in my heart to help other women who maybe had been on the same path as me. I wanted to help women in the same way I had been helped, but was too chicken to ever speak the desire to anyone. BUT THEN…one day, Adina approached me about my possible interest in leading classes and I was jaw-to-the-floor blown away. What??…ME??…You sure?? But I accepted the challenge, fell more in love with the people of LiveFIT and haven’t looked back.

What do you love about your job? WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE?? I coach because I love it, because I LOVE PEOPLE, because it challenges ME to be better and because I want to do everything I can on this earth to love and encourage the women God has put around me…and I think helping women love themselves through taking good care of the vessel they move around this earth in is a pretty fantastic way to spend my days.
I believe that every single woman has a purpose on this earth, but I know that sometimes we get weighed down in our minds and bodies when we aren’t making our physical health a priority and when we don’t take care of to feed our bodies properly. It is absolutely my joy and honor to help women break those chains and find the freedom to be the woman they were designed to be!

What is your favorite workout to do on your own? I love high intensity intervals (HIIT) and heavy lifting. I personally see the most results in my own body when I regularly participate in these two methods. This is why I teach the classes I teach – because I believe in them!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I serrrrriously love to learn how to be a better coach, to read about it, study it and practice it…(nerd alert). But I also love the outdoors, and traveling to beautiful places where I can see God’s creation in a different way. So much to see and so few years left n this earth! I love hanging with my main man who loves and supports and encourages me SO WELL.

What are 3 things people may not know about you?
1.) I have two sisters, and we are basically all the same person. We are super close and I LITERALLY couldn’t get through this life without them. They both attend LiveFIT, so make sure you’re not talking badly about me because they’ll tell me and I’ll kill you in your next workout. 🙂
2.) My love language is words, so when you casually tell me how much you enjoyed my class, or complain about how much your butt hurt the next day, or tell me that you almost died from one of my workouts, you quickly move to the top of my love list and we’re friends for life.
3.) I take a nap (almost) every.day. Don’t judge.

What one piece of advice would you give to someone who is on a journey to lose weight, but feeling discouraged?
I have been there! I understand! You ARE. NOT. ALONE. And more than anything, you’re in the right place – we got you!! 🙂 Now, just breathe… and focus on the day – the minutes in front of you. What can you do TODAY to take one baby step forward? It’s not about the big huge things in life, but about the small daily choices we make that will make a difference in our lives. And those small things are much more likely to stick! Reach out, don’t be afraid to ask for help from a coach or fellow LiveFITter. After all, LF is full of people all on a journey to find health and happiness, we’re in this together – and EVERYTHING is better with friends!

It is absolutely my joy, my honor and my privilege to walk alongside you in your journey to find health and happiness, and whatever other goals you have set in place. I coach at LiveFIT because I love it and because I love you. Sincerely. Do not EVER be afraid to reach out to me, ask questions or seek encouragement. I am so far from perfect, I fail daily, struggle constantly and need you in my life just like you need others. I am here for you because God has given me the privilege and opportunity and I take that very seriously (even though I am rarely serious…) I believe life was meant to be FUN! And you guys are my fun!! THANK YOU for making my life amazing!!
